Sunshine tightens supply of horse haylage for 2011 / 2012.

Well we are now at the end of April in 2011 and still no rain. The UK is well behind average rainfall for 2011 and locally Cirencester is no better. At the time of writing the forecast does look any better either.
Luckily we have taken on a neighbouring farm amounting to an extra 115 acres of grassland for our horse haylage and horse hay enterprise. We have prepared the ground well last month for a cut this June so we are set for a record horse haylage harvest this year…subject to rainfall! Even with limited rain, with the extra land we should be able to supply all our customers.
